i arranged the portraits for yearbook this year... so here's a little poem about what it brought me lol
it's driving me crazy. the photographer keeps me busy. day and night, he calls me, usually. and asks me, "can you get me the files quickly?" i hope the next time he calls me, he asks me quietly. he talks into the phone so crazily sometimes i can barely understand him although i listen intently. i guess i'll live painfully until the whole yearbook portraits are done completely.
if any of you are kpop fans, hope you all didn't miss the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA)! I know there were talks of the awards being not as good because big kpop stars like Lee Hyori won't be coming on but that was obviously, a rumor. When older, more famous stars like her didn't show up, it provided more chances for younger generation to shine, like 2NE1. Debuting this year, the girl group has aroused the public in many ways with their hit songs "Fire" and "I Don't Care" and singles like "You and I" by Park Bom and "Kiss" by Sandara Park.
Watch their little 'musical' at MAMA and tell me what you think about it! Personally, I love it because I think 2NE1 has both the talent and looks!
Yes! I love MUN and this year's Seoul MUN was exciting. It was my first time 'chairing' at an international conference as big as this one and it really excited me. If you know anything about Model United Nations program, being a delegate and being a chair is certainly 'different.' Both are fun in it's own way but... I can't express how much I loved, LOVED chairing. Haha. Here's a picture of me chairing... I seem to be into something..
It's probably the college apps that I've been so hurriedly writing at the time.
People tell me I turn into a different person when I chair. Usually I'm friendly and approachable. BUT. When I start chairing I change into (I quote my friend) "charismatic chair." And that's exactly what I aimed for this conference.. So I guess I've accomplished something :). Ah- I signed up to go to Beijing MUN as well. And I'm already excited. Any of you also in MUN? Share with me!
well, as a TCK myself, I feel like I can understand Jaebum... but was it really right for him to do something like that? maybe you aren't as familiar with Jaebum but you've heard of wondergirls? they are currently going around with the Jonas Brothers performing :) take a look at Jaebum (2pm) performing, they are from the same entertainment as the wondergirls.
here's the controversy tho. Jaebum said, "I hate Korea, Korea is gay." or something along those lines. in addition to, "I suck at rapping but the people here think i'm good that's dope."
it was definitely wrong for him to say that. as a third cultured kid, i'm just guessing that he had some problems when he first arrived in korea and started to practice for performances. at first, korea seemed like a foreign place and everyone here followed different norms... that's what he said 4 years ago.
unfortunately for him, some stalker fan dug up this post and posted on the net. and you know how korea is, soon the whole nation knew it and the situation got out of hand. jaebum apologized alongside jypentertainment. but after 4days of protest, jaebum quit 2pm and he left korea.
4years of practice was gone within 4days.
what do you guys think of this controversy? jaebum just seemed to me had a hard time adjusting because he as a third culture kid... yet it wasn't right for him to say the statements that he said... what's right and what's wrong? should he come back to korea? or should he not be allowed?
